Welcome to Denver and Parkside Sweet!
The Sweet is the basement of my 1922 bungalow. It’s my mom's cave, a creative space, game room for friends, and your private Denver home base during your stay. We offer off-street parking, a private back patio entrance, self check-in, games, Smart TV (no cable), puzzles, books, wi-fi, mini frig. Colfax is south with eateries, shops, music & film venues, breweries and more. City Park to the north hosts the Denver Zoo and Museum of Nature & Science.
The Sweet common area is the art and game room full of supplies and oddities. It isn’t suitable for toddlers but we can secure some things if you need. The library is connected to the queen room via an open walk through closet (which doubles as a secret hideout!). The “blue door” has loads of area menus to check out and there are complimentary snacks and water in the eating nook. Have fun exploring!
We do not allow pets or smoking.
We sincerely thank you for respecting our home and the neighborhood!
We hope to meet our visitors at least once! One of us may knock on your door to welcome you and be sure you have everything you need :)
We cut cable! There is a 'smart' TV with Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, that you can log into with your own accounts (please log out when done), or bring your own FireStick or streaming device and plug in to the USB ports on the back.
There is also a Blu-ray/DVD player.
Excel energy is doing construction in the neighborhood that might change your driving course. It is not in front of the house and I will do my best to update as construction moves through the streets.
We will communicate our needs to do laundry for stays longer than 5 days.
Pets and burning anything inside the Sweet is not allowed.
We do not presently impose a cleaning fee, please:
- remove your shoes at the door
- leave used towels in the bathroom on the floor
- separate recyclables and place in purple bin outside
- inform us if there is a spill or something we can help clean during your stay
- please let us know when you are departing the Sweet, a simple text is perfect!
