Unplugged Lake Home. Spacious Dining Room with a table that seats 12 and open Living Space makes for a great gathering space. The Lake with private dock is the real gem. There is no wifi and no cable but plenty of outdoor space and in case of rain, there are DVD's, puzzles, games and books
The house does require stairs. It is set below the street level and there are about 8-10 steps down from the parking pad to the home itself.
The primary renter must be at least 25 years old.
Please be respectful of the neighbors. There is enough room for at least 4 cars Two on driveway, one in front of the garage and one in between these two areas. Please do not park anywhere else. This can be a sore spot for our little cul de sac.
Please separate out your recycling and place in the bin with the grey lid up by the garage. All other trash can be placed in the garbage with the black lid. Garbage pick up is Tuesdays. You can place trash in the bins any time throughout your stay.
Sheets will be provided. Please grab the size and set you need and make your bed up. When leaving, please pull these sheets and just leave them on the floor. Sheets as well as towels can be found in the hall closet outside the bunk room. Extra blankets are located in the closet behind the door in the master bedroom.
If you need to use the washing machine that is fine just please don't overload. Especially heavy towels will mess with the balance. The drier works great, lint trap is in the back on the inside. Just put in your towels and press the dial No need to turn any knobs.
Need something to read? There are lots of books to choose from. If you come with a book and you finish it, feel free to leave it and take another with you. As long as the number of books remains feel free to start something new.
There is a DVD and VHS player in the TV room. Parents please note some of the movies are more kid friendly than others. Feel free to watch any and all of them just please don't let them wander off.
Make sure your fire is about out before walking away from it at the end of the night. There will be extra seating to pull around the fire just please put it back when you are done.
I have nice comfortable cushions for the patio furniture. I do ask that you pull them in if it rains and each night to avoid the dew. I usually just stack them inside the door each night and place them back out in the morning while the coffee brews.
There is a 5 gallons water cooler located in the dining room. I will make sure there is 1 refill for your stay, if you need more, take the empty into town to Richter's grocery store and replace it. Bringing the empty back will save you some money. We have well water which you can drink but I don't like it. I use the filtered water for coffee as well. The tap is fine for showering, dishes and brushing your teeth however.
Please don't leave out food out excessively. I promise you the ants will come if you do. With the door opening and closing all the time and with Mother Nature trying to take over, the ants come first, then the mice then the chipmunks so please clean up after yourself.
The lake is not very deep or big but there is no life guard services. Swim at your own risk.
