Lorraine and Alan are the perfect hosts. We felt very welcome in their home. They did everything they could to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. We would highly recommend their room to anyone!
A simply brilliant Airbnb experience. Lorraine and Alan were hospitable, helpful and kind. Check in was easy to negotiate, they were easy to contact when necessary and it felt like they've done it for years, even though they mentioned they'd only started very recently! St Andrews is only a short drive from their home so we made the most of a rare Scottish sunny day. We were very cosy in the comfy loft room and had lots of space for our things. A great breakfast for us in the morning too. We'd highly recommend you stay here if you're looking to visit St Andrews and the surrounding area.
We found this one of the best places we have ever stayed - from the moment we arrived until when we left both Allan & Lorraine went out of the way to make sure we were taken care of . We would recommend staying here as you will not find any better place to stay.
Lovely attic conversion room in a tarnished like home! Nice and close to takeaway food and a shop, but also within easy distance of St. Andrew's with it's shops, beach, museums and restaurants. Great, very helpful and flexible hosts too - perfect!!
The Loft is a delightful retreat. Spacious, super comfy and totally private. Lorraine is a wonderful hostess too. Very professional and generous. She gave me a filling and tasty breakfast, all beautifully presented. I'll be back!
Lorraine and Alan are the best of hosts and their accommodations are top notch. My sister and I were traveling to Scotland to settle her into college and needed a place last minute due to a change in scheduled. Lorraine and Alan very kindly took us in and, when we got there, we felt like we were at home. The room (one bed on the first floor with a staircase that connects to a loft with another bed) is cozy, very clean, and homey. Both my sister and I had the best night's sleep on our trip there. The bathroom is right next to the room and is shared with the hosts--it's a lovely, large bathroom with big shower. Lorraine provided a delicious and expansive breakfast in the morning. (I had three cups of an amazing tea and learned about a Scottish pastry I am now craving daily.) Lorraine and Alan are very personable and gave us many tips on where to shop for household items and food for my sister. Their home is a short and easy 15-minute drive to St. Andrews; Leuchars itself is a quaint village and has a couple of shops for the basics a traveler would need. Don't hesitate to book this place.
