Come enjoy the peace and beauty of a light-filled home in a quiet Black Mountain neighborhood. All are welcome. The house is ideal for a couple seeking a private retreat; 2 couples; a couple with one or two children; a single mom or dad with kids, a group of good friends.
In a light wind, you can actually hear the pines rustling. There is a majestic old hemlock on the land, a group of white pines, a spruce, a cypress tree and soon to come, a Carolina native pitch pine. Tree lovers, book now!
Recently remodeled and updated with brand-new furnishings and art, this creatively inspired home is bathed in natural light. The vaulted ceiling and 16 tall windows in the living room offer an inviting space to read, play games, watch movies, take a nap, and appreciate the woodsy mountain views. (But not all at once:o) You'll find books, magazines and local guidebooks.
Nestled in a lovely residential neighborhood, Rustling Pine is a 3 minute drive (I've clocked it!) from Black Mountain town center with its many restaurants, and charming shops. Walkable to a network of forested hiking trails in the community of Christmount, and to sushi and bento boxes at Sake in Cheshire Village.
The entire house and property are yours to enjoy.
• Full kitchen for home-cooked meals
• Outdoor gas grill and picnic table for four.
• Main bedroom is a spacious suite with its own sunroom and full bath.
• Second bedroom is cozy and welcoming with a bathroom across the hall.
Note: there are 3 steps down into the living room space. So you may want to consider this if there are small children or elders in your party.
I've been on both ends of Air B&B for a few years, and really enjoy the friendly interaction between owners and guests. I look forward to meeting and greeting my guests whenever possible. If there's anything I can do to help or assist in any way, I live a quarter-mile away. I often walk back and forth between my two wonderful homes or it's about a 2 minute drive.
You will find a detailed notebook in the house filled with information about local restaurants, sights to see etc. Also peruse the online guidebook included with the listing. (coming soon)
Professional photographer, passionate musician, happy hiker, life long movie lover. After 16 blessed years in Hawaii, shooting over 1,000 beach weddings, I have moved back to NC, to "my roots: - to enjoy the mountains and be closer to family.
I've been on both sides of Air B&B, as a guest and a host, and feel it's a brilliant way to travel and meet good folks.
How about peace, compassion, harmony and respect for nature, and all creatures great and small? Sounds good to me.
