Enjoy DC like a real Washingtonian. Short train ride to the National Mall, Capitol, Smithsonian, White House and monuments. Bike or jog along the waterfront. Hike through the park. All the culture of DC without the cost!
The bottom bunk in this large shared room is the perfect solution for a short and comfortable stay in DC.
Note, this shared room may be occupied by 3 other guest. I never know if my guest will be male or female. However, everyone I have previously hosted was peaceful and respectful regardless of gender.
You will have access to your shared room, the entertainment lounge, backyard, 2 bathrooms, as well as, the kitchenette and workspace in the basement.
DC Crash Pad is supplied with all your travel needs including linen, towels and toiletries.
While the host will have minimal interaction with guest, everything you need to know to have a 5 star stay in DC will be emailed to you a few days prior to your visit.
Additionally, you can find several resources to help you navigate the city.
This is not a private room. The price for the space is increased on weekends and major holidays.
The GOLDEN Rule... treat others how you want to be treated! Maintain a peaceful and tolerant attitude at all times while crashing in my home.
While I live in a safe area of SE; be wise, stay safe! Do not discuss my home or airbnb with anyone in my neighborhood.
-Do not share your code for the lockbox or security system. Each guest is provided this information prior to check-in.
-Keep the security gate and front door locked at all times.
-Do not open the door for others. Each guest has their own check-in information.
-Keep bags and personal items on the luggage rack, tucked neatly below your bunk or in the closet. This will keep the cleaner from bothering your belongings.
-Do not leave personal items in common areas. Keep belongings stored in your closed bag. The ‘lost stuff box’ can be found near the front door. This bin is filled with things I find around my house that don’t belong to me. The contents of the bin are regularly dumped into the outdoor garbage can.
-Do not eat in shared or private rooms. Please use the multiple dining areas in the house.
-Guest may not throw parties in my home.
-Do not invite additional guest into the home.
-Guest may not have mail or packages delivered to the home.
-Guest must sleep in their confirmed space. Do not enter other rooms.
-Do not move furniture, shift curtains or open windows; unless there is an emergency.
-Do not use toiletries on the shower rack or inside bathroom cabinets.
-Do not smoke cigarettes inside the home; however the host has a health condition in which medical marijuana is prescribed. The home may not be conducive to individuals seeking a 100% smoke-free environment.
-Quiet hours in common areas and shared rooms are between 12 AM and 8 AM. Do not disturb other guests that are resting with high volumes on personal/electronic devices or any other loud activities. When entering late night, be as quiet as possible. Other travelers may be resting.
-This home is not a good solution when traveling with children.
-The washer and dryer are not listed as amenities because they are not for guest use. The closest 24 hour laundry in DC is located at 5937 Central Ave, Capitol Heights, MD 20743. In NYC, the closest 24 hour laundry is located at 798 9th Ave, New York, NY 10019.
