As we pride ourselves on our excellent reviews from all previous guests, we were disappointed to hear about your concerns.
Our listing clearly states this is a four-bedroom home and that one of the bedrooms is two connecting rooms with beds in each. We count this as a single bedroom in our description and there are three other separate bedrooms. We actually mention this two different times in the listing.
We apologize that we can't offer personalized drink selections for each guest, but feel that providing bottled water and coffee free of charge would cover most people. We are adding a tea kettle based on your feedback.
When we reached out to you during your stay and asked if everything was OK, we didn't hear back. As you can see from our previous reviews, guests have commented on how quick we are to respond to any questions or problems. We would have been happy to get you a tea kettle or discard and replace any cracked or chipped dishes immediately if we were notified.
We also have many, many people comment on how clean the house is and what beautiful shape it is in. It's definitely concerning to us that you didn't believe the floors were clean enough. That has never been an issue with other guests.
And lastly, as to your comment that it was "not quite worth the money," we would have to take exception with that. Your stay was during the Chicago Marathon weekend, one of the highest occupancy weekends of the year. Our house can accommodate up to 10 people in comfort and style in one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in Chicago. I think you would be hard-pressed to find comparable accommodations for 10 people in our neighborhood for less money. We were also able to easily accommodate your request for an early check-in at no extra charge, something which added extra value to your stay.
Again, if there is some way to make your issues right for you, please let us know. We strive to provide our guests with a stellar experience.
