Our rental is the first floor of this historical downtown duplex, It is very large and has 3 bedrooms with 1 king, 1 queen, 1 full and 3 twin beds. There is a full kitchen, dinning room, laundry and a 2 full baths. We have a great front porch and an outside area in back for grilling, It's a great place to stay for groups!
Our Rental is the first floor of this historical duplex in the downtown area of Charleston. The home is very large with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, there is a side room with a new day bed with a trundle bed underneath that give even more sleeping options. The area is the center of the new trendy part of town close to new restaurants, breweries and music venues. The Palmetto brewery has open parties every Friday nights, also look for Edmonds Oast, Park Café, Taco Boy, Moe's Crosstown Tavern, The Royal American, Rutledge Cab Co and The Tattooed Moose.
The home is accommodating for a large family or 3 to 4 couples to share. It has a wonderful covered front porch, perfect for coffee in the morning or relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening. The full kitchen and large dinning room allows for you to stay and cook in some of the local seafood, but the culinary scene of Charleston is so great, you have to experience it as much as you can!
You have the first floor apartment all to yourself. We live in a completely separate home above. There is ample parking on the street and a spot behind the house. You have your own large front porch and we can arrange to have the back yard if you needed room for a BBQ or gathering.
We can have as much or as little interaction with guests. We are in the food and wine industry and can help with any kind of restaurant suggestion to help with craft beer tours.
All linens, towels and kitchen utensils are included. Please check out our reviews, they tell the best story of how great the house is!
Check in Procedures: Standard check in time is 4 pm, if we do not have guests before your arrival we can entertain an early check in, this can change up to days before. The home has lots of street parking in front of the home making it easy to unload the car if needed. We have a lock box on the right hand side of the right door on the front porch. When you flip it open you press the clear button on the bottom, then press 1980 and the open button on the top. Do the same to close it.
Supplies: We supply you with 3 rolls of toilet paper, 3 rolls of paper towels, 3 trash bags and dish soap. There is a convenience store 1 block away for further needed supplies.
Age: When making reservations please provide the total number of adults and children in your group. You must be a minimum of 25 years of age in order to rent our property. Persons under 25 years of age must be accompanied by an adult, parent or guardian during their stay. Valid identification will be requested upon check-in. Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of payments and not be allowed to check-in or possibly asked to vacate the premises.
Taxes & Fees: Each reservation is subject to a 13.5% State Sales tax, Accommodation tax and fees.
Damages: Any damages, outside of what is deemed normal wear and tear, are the responsibility of the guest. Should the guest not report damages prior to their departure or should we deem the damage to be intentional, the guest's credit card will be charged for the repair, replacement and/or cleaning.
Parties: Please inquire about hosting extra people at the homes when making a reservation, we do not mind small gatherings. Otherwise, no parties or large gatherings are permitted in our home at any time. We reserve the right to refuse rental, cancel an existing reservation or terminate occupancy without refund if, in our opinion, your actions will be detrimental to the property.
Travel Insurance: To better serve our guests, Travel Insurance is optional and offers a wide coverage for all members of your party. We strongly recommend purchasing this policy. You can find additional information and detailed description of coverage on the (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) website.
Hurricane Policy: If mandatory evacuation of the City is ordered by a Governmental Agency, refunds will be prorated based on the nights left of your stay. Only those nights affected by the mandatory evacuation are eligible. If a hurricane occurs prior to your arrival, and we are unable to provide you with accommodations, refunds will be issued to the reservation holder.
Smoking: Our home is non-smoking. Evidence of smoking in our non-smoking home will incur a fine of $200
Linens: Linen service is included in your rental rate. All beds will be made with fresh sheets. Each guest will be provided with bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths.
Check out Procedure: Standard check out time is 11 am, prior to departing the rental, please load the dishwasher, remove all trash and place it in trash containers behind the house (green trash, blue recycling). Leave used beds unmade so we know which ones to change. Failure to depart on time, return all keys, return all furniture to its original place or remove trash can result in a fine.
Furnishings: Our home is equipped with basic items such as TV, bed spreads, pillows, cookware, flatware, glassware, microwave and coffee maker. Washer and dryer is available for your use, detergent is not provided. Prior to departure return all furniture to its original position.
