We are 17 miles from the City/Port of Kingston upon Hull, which has many many attractions, including extra attractions during the 2017 City of Culture year. Recommended places to visit: The Deep, East Park, Museums, follow the fish trail around the old town. The Foreshore at the Humber Bridge, not forgetting the Marina and Wilberforce Museum. Also in the locality is Spurn Point, and Kilnsea, a must for any Twitchers out there. Hornsea is a short drive up the coast, offering Freeport outlet shopping, The Mere, a great place to see water birds in abundance, they also have a lovely museum. Close by we have The RAF Bunker at Holmpton, or a little further away, Fort Paull, Napoleonic Fortress and museum. Lots to see and do!
Our guests are welcome to either use the room for a quiet time, or they are welcome to join us in the lounge and get to know us and our dogs, beware, they like to sit on your lap! Or you can sit outside on a warm summer evening and take in the perfume from the flowers in tubs and listen to the gurgling of the waterfall into the pond.
We are always available to offer help and assistance to our guests to help make their stay as enjoyable as possible. We will try to cater for special diets/needs if you let us know beforehand.
We do keep a tide time clock so we can advise guests when it is safe to walk along the beach. We always check the high and low tide times daily.
Smokers are welcome, as long as they smoke in the garden, not in the house.
We are a retired couple living on the East Yorkshire coast with our 4 dogs. We retired here because the property has a large enough garage to house our beloved VW Camper Van. We are easy going, ex hippies and love the outdoors. We are keen gardeners, but dont like straight lines, we love a riot of colour and perfumes. Our garden is grown for the bees and other insects, and of course for our own enjoyment when we sit outside for one of our many bbq's.
Our life motto? It has to be 'Home is where you park it'
