A warm room in the front of the house away from the hosts main room. Includes full use of kitchen and back room with a view of a garden and the Narrows.
A small, cozy fire room to the front of the house with a Edwardian fireplace. One double bed. Shared bathroom (second floor) and shared kitchen (main floor) and family room (main floor). Guests are welcome to coffee, tea, cereal, toast.
Our bedrooms are on the second floor so we generally stay out of each others way. Internet included - flat screen tv with DVD player and cable.
Our neighbourhood is Upper Down Town and the house over looks the harbour. We are close to groceries (10 min walk), Liquor store, bus stop (across the street) and downtown (5 min walk).
We are also right across the street from The Rooms (local museum) as well as the Basilica, two cafes, and hiking trails are 2 - 3 km away.
This is a shared home which includes kitchen, sun room, bathroom and yard.
We interact quite a bit with our guests (we are curious creatures), but aside from providing privacy, we also try to give them space when they want to cook in the kitchen so that they can have a feeling like it is their own.
We like dinner and wine and good conversation. No parties or loud music. No smoking please and we ask that you clean up after yourself and not remove anything from the house without asking us first. Please do not wear your shoes in the house, as we live downtown and do not what the grim from the streets in our home.
A mother of two and an environmental/coastal researcher here in Newfoundland I spend a great deal of time with my children outdoors exploring and adventuring and getting to know the world we live in. Usually when I travel it is to the most remote and exotic places I can come up with, or as close to home as possible.
