I have travelled to 85 countries and have had lots of wonderful experiences. Staying at Tim's 120 year old, incredibly authentic Swiss mountain lodge is right up there and one that my son and I will talk about for years to come.
From the warm welcome - Tim was in his garden keeping an eye out for us coming and immediately invited us in for a cup of Tea - to the walk you to our car to waive good bye in the morning, this was a wonderful experience.
This place is for those who like to experience local. This place is for those who want to see the sun set over the alps. For those who enjoy the peacefulness of a Swiss mountain side which is only disturbed by the ringing of the bells as the cows move from one spot to the next. A personal favorite of mine. For those who like to sit and look out a window (every window has a view and they have many windows) at breathtaking scenery. For those who enjoy stepping back a little in time to experience life as it was, only with modern conveniences that Tim has inserted.
Most often my experience has been the photos make a place look better than it is. In this instance it is the opposite. No photo will do the home, the view, the setting justice.
Much more I could say about this but if you are anywhere close to Tim's place it is well worth getting here to spend a night or more, even if it means a detour. You will not be disappointed.
