Flycatcher Castle in itself boasts a work of art, sculpted first as a model by the owner. A great variety of antique furniture, ornaments and art within the castle have been collected, creating a grand masterpiece. The castle perfectly compliments its surroundings and reflects an awareness and love of nature, with beautiful views across the wetland. Although grand and meticulously decorated, the owner creates an informal, friendly (and perhaps slightly unconventional) atmosphere.
The castle comprises of 6 double en-suite rooms, each one individually decorated with antique furniture and named after classic composers. The room on offer, the Gounod Deluxe, is a luscious suite with a complete set of Art Deco furniture. Ample mirrors create a spacious sensation. The exquisite ‘black and blue diamond’ granite top vanities, together with the typical Art Deco chandelier above the free-standing bath personify the sensual-dramatic essence of this suite. Bedroom furniture are antique while the en-suite vanities feature a modern free standing bath and a spacious walk-in shower and toilet.
Breakfast and dinner is served in the dining room while guests are welcome to relax in the reading room, enjoy the peaceful front garden, chapel, art gallery and rooftop deck on the main tower.
The emphasis is on informal, friendly, personal service.
