The house was charming, with 'pallets' for window shutters and a sliding bathroom door. Even the small fixtures were cleverly homemade -- tree branches served as clothing pegs and the mailbox' support. The location was great, close to hikes, beaches, and scenic spots. The cottage had a comfortable bed, a microwave, large fridge, and a single hotplate/burner with a kettle, one small pot and one small pan. It had plates, cups, bowls, and utensils for three people, but bring your own serving plate, mixing bowl, and paper towel. The place was clean, but I was surprised to find the previous guests' garbage in the kitchen trash can, as well as rotting fruit in the fridge. We stubbed our toes on the small rectangular stone on the floor of the main room, then solved the problem by placing our bags there. The bedroom has a nice wi-fi connection and a big TV. Everything else was good. We used the outdoor fire pit, the small charcoal grill, and the tiki lamps. I called Chester a few times, once because I could not find a nearby trail. He was very patient and helpful and did not rush me off. I would go back again.
