Guests are welcome to the house and gardens as well as the hot tub and barbecue. The basement is unavailable because it contains tools for house maintenance, lawn mower, snow blower, etc.
We are friendly, respectful and laid-back, so if you're new to St. John's and want some help navigating town or are seeking advice on where to go, we are happy to lend a hand any way we can. Occasionally we will need access to the property but not without pre-approval from our guests. We will need to maintain hot tub and gardens and therefore access to the basement which contains lawn mower, etc.
This was our family home and children were raised in this home. Currently there is a high chair available but no crib available for baby. You may bring your own or, if you provide notice, we can try and supply one for you. This property is suitable for children.
Please no glass around the hot tub. Smoking permitted on property, just not inside the house please. The two working fireplaces are old coal burning ones. Therefore Only artificial fire logs can be burned-NO WOOD please. Before use, make sure that any and all stuffing in the chimneys has been removed. We will remove prior to guest visit unless it's the dead of winter and it's freezing outside. The fireplaces are not very energy efficient.
