This is a listed Georgian Coach House, extended in the early 1900's and renovated in the late 1990's, sitting in the foothills of the scenic Ox Mountains and overlooking Knocknarea and the sea. Suitable getaway for couples who wish to soak up the peace and quiet of the area, engage in water sports, both sea and fresh water fishing, horse riding, treking or touring. It is also a perfect base for attending business meeting from Sligo to Ballina.
Longford House has been the seat of the Crofton Family for over 600 years.
The Dowager Lady Crofton, widow of the late Sir Malby Crofton, now lives in the tastefully restored and extended Coach House. Set in the scenic foothills of the Ox Mountains overlooking Knochnarea with Queen Maebh's Cairn (burial mound) and the Megalithic Tombs at Carrowmore.
Nearby Strandhill and Sligo City host an array of fine bars and restaurant and cafes.
Being so close to both the sea and the mountains and with so many lakes and rivers close by it is a great base for fishing, surfing and walking.
