Three Peas Farm is a co-housing farm and permaculture homestead. The guest bedroom has a shared bathroom. We are located in a serene wooded setting approximately 5 miles from downtown Port Townsend off highway 20 West. The room is suitable for up to two adults, but we also welcome families with young children. Note: We've built a dog run, a dog house is on the way. The inside of our house is not suitable for dogs.
Our residents have included farmers, chefs, naturalist, arborist, entrepreneurs, engineers, musicians and families. We're very in tune with sustainable living practices, intentional community, resource conservation, regenerative business, homesteading, raw and whole foods and all things green. We use organic farming practices and limit cleaning and construction products used on the property to natural materials with no significant risk of toxicity or chemical sensitivity.
The entire property is open to explore with these few exceptions: other peoples bedrooms, tents, R.V.s or cars. Areas with "temporarily closed" signs. The garage. Any storage closets marked "private"
We will be living and working at the house while you are staying here. We also will have WWOOFers and student interns on the land from time to time and may have friends and family drop by to visit occasionally. Any guests are welcome to join us for family activities. The bathrooms, downstairs rooms and outside grounds are all common spaces. We are naturally pretty engaging and love to get to know people, but we are happy to respect your boundaries if you need more privacy. Just let us know.
We have young kids of our own, We understand that baby's cry sometimes and young kids can be really active. We won't try and stop our own children from learning to express themselves and we don't mind if yours do too.
We are starting a working organic farm and orchard. So things like composting, manure, animal noises, early risers, big farmers' breakfast, tractors, tools and implements and washing and packing food are a becoming regular part of life here. Guest are welcome to ask questions, tour the grounds, enjoy the setting and participate if they want to. We will let you know upon arrival if any particular area is temporarily off limits for some reason. Please respect those areas for your own safety.
