Glamping in Inverness! Quiet, comfortable, cute log cabin in the garden, & just along a short path your own shower room & kitchenette. Sunny and bright (well, usually - no guarantees of sunshine!). Continental breakfast included.
One strict safety rule please: it's a wooden cabin - no naked flames! No BBQs or cigarettes or candles! Thank you!
The larger of two log cabins in my garden is available for glamping holidays. (The smaller cabin is not rented.) Very sunny outlook, but has a heater for those days when the sun fails us. Sofa beds offer comfortable daytime seating and drop down in seconds to form full-sized single beds, or push together for a super-king sized bed. All-season duvets + warm woollen blankets for cold nights.
A few steps away across the lawn is your kitchenette and shower-room. The kitchenette is well equipped and includes kettle, toaster, induction hob and microwave. Additional items (like a slow cooker) are available - just ask. You'll find your continental breakfast here each morning. Outside the cabin is a fun upcycled table and stools for outdoor breakfasts on sunny days, or pop your beds back into sofa position to eat in the Den on cooler mornings.
The shower room has a choice of wonderfully hot power shower or gentle rain head, while fun colour-changing LED lights have a remote control for you to choose your own lighting style! Electric socket for shaver or toothbrush charger.
A simple laundry area offers iron, sink and washing machine; a really fast spin speed gets clothes ready for quick drying. £5 per washload please. A ceiling-hung clothes pulley offers environmentally friendly but efficient clothes drying, especially helpful for walkers and cyclists arriving in wet gear!
Plenty space to leave your bicycles in the back garden, which is yours to enjoy. A "companion" chair and table set in a sheltered spot is the perfect place for coffee or a drink, while a small upcycled wooden table and stools can be sited where you please for an outdoor breakfast in the sun.
The log cabin is completely self-contained and exclusively yours.
Just a few steps away is the back door to my home, offering access to your kitchenette and shower room. You'll be very private here too but not entirely, as I might use the washing machine or pop out the back door to do some gardening. I do my best to avoid doing so when you are likely to be around! However, I'm usually on call if you need help or advice.
An outdoor key safe houses Den and house keys (code will be sent to you before arrival).
I've lived in Inverness for 40 years and am happy to offer suggestions and directions. I will give you as much privacy and space as you would like or happy to chat as well!
It's pretty obvious really but a log cabin could be a fire hazard if naked flames were allowed! So there's a very strict rule: no smoking, no matches, candles, BBQs or any other flame source.
I'd respectfully ask all guests to be as polite and thoughtful towards me and my neighbours as they'd want for themselves. One essential rule: no naked flames of any kind for safety around log cabins.
