This studio feels like the reveal in an HGTV design and renovation show - it's that well finished and decorated. It's extremely well laid out for the size with a queen, plenty of closet space, a comfy futon, upgraded everything, washer/dryer, dishwasher, two kinds of coffee maker, etc. The hosts were super responsive. The towels were fluffy, spare toiletries available and they even provided bathrobes! Not only was there every condiment you could need, they also provided English muffins, juice, milk, and UNBELEVABLY yummy Snickerdoodles!! They also provided several puzzles and games.
Location: Delightful neighborhood with loads of parks nearby (some with amazing views), great restaurants (our faves were Blue Plate and Taqueria), tons of coffee shops, & bars that ranged from holes in the wall to hipster. Catching the 49 bus around the corner was an easy straight shot to Ghirardelli Square, or the BART a couple blocks further to Fisherman's Wharf. As Jan warned us, on-street parking nearby was difficult but not impossible to find, and my friend who took the SFO Airporter shuttle had an easy door-to-door ride. No car was used or needed once we arrived - mine stayed in one spot on the street for 3 nights.
Only drawback, and it was a VERY minor one, was that sometimes you could hear the hosts moving about in the apt. above the studio. Didn't bother us at all (esp. since they were gone most of the time), but it was noticeable. There are 21 stairs to the front door, if that's a consideration for you - we considered it GOOD for us!
As my friend told me when we left, and I wholeheartedly concur, we could absolutely see ourselves staying here again on a trip to SF!
