THINGS TO DO
If you like to drink in lots of green rolling hills and mountains the Port Mac Hinterland has the most beautiful national parks and drives in NSW. One of our favourite is up to Ellenborough Falls stopping at the beautiful historic town of Comboyne for a home baked treat then the Byabarra Café Bakehouse on the way back… perfect day!!
Of course, there are all the great things to do in Port Macquarie so take a look at the tourism website… often the best things are free and Port Mac Coastal Walk from the lighthouse is a must do! We also have a big wide screen TV with DVD’s… a record player, art (drawing) supplies, dominoes, yoga mat and magazines etc.
Visitors will have full access to the apartment, the garage and anywhere in the grounds except the shed. All other parts of the house (upstairs) are private.
We respect our guests privacy but will be available in-person or by phone if help or recommendations are required
- Quiet hours after 10:00pm, smoking permitted in designated area only.
My husband Roger and I lived in Sydney for many years. We loved the buzzy cafe culture and eclectic nature of the Inner West but after enjoying most of our lives there were looking for a life change, so we sold our house of 30 years and left crazy Gotham City far behind.
We spent 18 months on the road in a caravan exploring all that Australia has to offer before settling in the Mid North Coast of NSW in Sancrox, near Port Macquarie in December 2016. Rog and I saw the house on-line and bought it sight unseen halfway through our lap of Oz while we were in WA !! Finding a gorgeous country home on 3 acres with stunning views just minutes from Port in the lush hinterland was a dream come true and the fact it had a separate granny flat was a bonus as starting an AirBnB has always been something I have wanted to do... I have loved creating a special place and the guests we meet enrich our lives.
Rog and I are passionate motorbike riders. We have ridden our motorbikes on five continents already and hoping to do more motorbike tours in Japan, Italy and New Zealand soon. After a few life events, we gave up our corporate jobs and developed a unique half day training course for riders to teach them what to do in the event of an accident.
Our specialised First Aid for Motorcyclists - Motorcycle Accident Management™ training initiative is all about educating riders and to raise awareness and money for injured riders in the brain and spinal injury at the Royal Rehab Centre. We have trained well over 2000 riders to date and picked up several other trainers along the way to carry on the program in other States and even in the USA!
I am a “creative” and love gardening, renovating, sculpting in clay (hoping to get a kiln soon), drawing, cooking, travel and all things adventurous. I am absolutely loving having 3 acres and being on a property… it’s like I was a farmer in another life… Haha!! My next project is to put in a big veggie patch, chicken coop and an orchard.... and a dam with ducks, turtles and water lillies!!
