This large private room with private bathroom is in the perfect part of Portland. Right on the busiest bike path (Salmon St.) and near a fantastic bakery (Grand Central) and famous coffee shop (Heart). A mile away is the Willamette river separating downtown Portland from the East side. Food carts are less than a 10 minute walk, great bars all over Hawthorne (4 blocks south) and Belmont (3 blocks north). You are covered with bus lines surrounding and a bike rental station 2 blocks away.
Truly a fantastic location and the possibility of an authentic Portland experience. The bathroom is a little bit "cozy" with the slanted ceiling. I am 6'2" and have always needed to do a slight lean to (stand) using the toilet. The shower is fine. I would not recommend using this place if you are over 6'5" for that reason. Your entire space is freshly painted with natural light coming in from both ends. I drive for Lyft and Uber and can take you anywhere you need to go if you need me as a driver.
I have HD local channels and all HBO including on demand with the HBO library at your fingertips if you need to catch up on anything from Westworld or Game of Thrones. If you want a Nintendo (1986) set up, let me know ahead of time as I need to bring out the CRT television.
I'm planning on just saying hi and staying out of your way, but can be extremely helpful and informative if you prefer as I grew up in this neighborhood. I have 2 kids (9 and 14), half time, and you might see any number of us as you come and go. We will not be overly friendly, don't worry.
420 friendly in Portland, (I don't partake currently). Welcome to Oregon!
- Please try to keep the noise down inside after midnight and outside after 10pm
- Shoes left downstairs would be greatly appreciated
- Please turn off lights and AC when you leave
Single father of 2. Driving all the time (for work) or hanging with my kids (I have them half time). This is the house I grew up in, so I know the neighborhood pretty well, although Portland is changing so fast, it's hard to keep up. I've been in hospitality for my whole adult life (waiting tables or as a driver) so don't worry, I'm not scary. My home has great cell reception!
