Built in 1932, the house has enormous windows & is very light & airy. The garden is long, great for pets which are welcome! There are wooden floors throughout for easy maintenance & an original turquoise bathroom suite complete with curve sided bath. From the flat roof you can see right round to Lyme Bay. A lovely, safe area with plenty of fantastic walks: the sea, the moors & the rolling Devon hills. All amenities in the town including Waitrose.
One of the main attractions is the light. The windows are big & being able to look out to sea provides a sense of space & openness. It's nice to be able cook whilst looking at the view too. There is a large decking area with a table and chairs, great to eat out there. There is no separate dining room or table & it's casual eating around the kitchen worktop with stools. If you're an early riser catch the sun coming up over the sea - spectacular pinks! And the moon too - beautiful.
Roof top terrace but only for looking at the view. It's a new roof so please don't wear stilletos on it!! The basement houses the washing machine and there's a whirly gig to hang washing on in the garden, pegs in a black bag on the washing machine. There's also a second loo plus a fridge/freezer.
I won't be here during your stay but will be available on my mobile.
Parking on the drive in front of the house. Turn to the left as you walk from the house & within 100 yards on the left hand side is a public right of way which leads down to a field, a large park and the promenade. Great for walking dogs. If you do want to smoke you're welcome to in the garden and on the decking but not in the house.
I would just ask you to be respectful of my home & my belongings :)
