Welcome to Cherrywood. Nestled amongst tall pines on the edge of the magical Lake Charlevoix sits a majestic woodland cabin. Lose yourself in the tranquility of the forest, swim in the healing waters of the lake, relax with a glass of wine on the deck, cook up family feasts to be remembered, play board games with the kids in large living spaces, and curl up by the fireplace at night. Embrace the spirit of Charlevoix and unwind for a week of summer fun in the natural beauty of Northern MI.
This is a large bilevel lakeside cabin on the exclusive north shore of Lake Charlevoix. It has four bedrooms and in total can sleep up to 14 people (6 adults + 8 kids). It is a newly constructed home finished in 2015, built on a mild slope, 100 feet from the water's edge.
The main floor has a large living space with a well-equipped kitchen with pantry and dishwasher, dining area, and living area with couches, fireplace and TV. This opens out onto a deck that overlooks the lake. There is one master bedroom with a walk-in-wardrobe on this floor that has a private bathroom and deck, both of which also overlook the lake.
Downstairs is a second large living space with couches, TV, and a mini-kitchen with sink and small fridge. There are two private bedrooms on this floor, a sleeping porch with 2 bunk beds, and a shared bathroom. This bottom level opens out back to a plateau with steps that lead down to a private beach (100ft) and dock.
There is air-conditioning if desired, however the house stays cool with summertime breezes off the lake. If cold, heating is available, or light a fire!
The house maintains privacy via natural foliage and pines. It is an eco-friendly home in a nature preserve-like setting. There is room for four vehicles at the main entrance.
The cabin is all yours. The owners will not be on site, however can be contacted if necessary. One of your neighbours, a family member of the owner, will be available to greet you and for you to contact if any issue arises.
This cabin sits on a block of land with 3 other cabins inhabited over the summertime by family members of the owners. Charlevoix is a special place for us all with a family history dating back over 100 years. So please treat your neighbors with love, kindness and respect, in the spirit of Charlevoix.
