Spacious and Fully Equipped One Bedroom Private Apartment - close to Pape and Danforth. The unit features one queen bed and another sofa bed that can accommodate two. There is a serene back yard available to you during warmer weather. There's tons to do within a pleasant and easy walk - food, shopping, sights and much more. Transit is a snap as well with a 10 minute walk to the subway or 7 minute bus ride, the stop being just a minute's walk from the house.
Suitable for up to four adults, the apartment is on the lower level of a 1929 "pre-war bungalow", as it is called. You have a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and convection range, and laundry area for your exclusive use. We may from time be in the laundry area if we need to do something to the furnace or hot water heater which are in that area.
You will have a private apartment (one bedroom, one four piece bathroom, one sofa bed), your own private washer and dryer (clothesline in the back yard if you prefer), your own mudroom and ample storage.
You are also free to use the yard for a cool beverage or dinner al fresco, or just bring your book or laptop and enjoy our quiet oasis right in the city.
We live upstairs, and are always happy to offer advice or help to make your stay fun, peaceful and memorable.
We may cross paths from time to time - or who knows maybe we might enjoy a cold beverage in the back. Don't feel like you have to engage with us much if you don't want to though. We respect your privacy.
Transit is easy from here, and there is a lot to do in the area - Greektown, the Danforth, Pape Village, Riverdale and much more are an easy walk or quick bus ride if you prefer. Toronto East General Hospital is also just two major intersections east, right on the bus line, and a pleasant walk. We are not, however, right in downtown Toronto.
No smoking or candles in the unit please (although you can certainly smoke outside and hang out in the yard!)
If you want to have a few people over you're welcome to use the gas BBQ outside, please ask first.
No pets please as my partner is allergic (and there is one HVAC system for both units)
We live upstairs, and are here to ensure you're safe and comfortable
Parking can be had on the street, but you are responsible for your own vehicle and park at your own risk. Ask for details.
I'm a 30s guy who works full time in real estate - motivated in part by my success using Airbnb. I travel often and for long periods (Latin America, the US, Europe, SE Asia, Australasia, etc) so have a pretty good sense of what people are looking for in a stay. My marketing research background (former career) means that I'll likely ask the questions to make sure I get it right for you!
I'm easy going and accommodating and pride myself on making sure my guests are comfortable (have a look at the reviews) and enjoy their stay. Happy to answer any questions you have about me, the unit, or your time in Toronto. Also more than happy to talk to you about buying a new or resale home or condo here in Toronto!
I'm an avid cook so an effort has been made to make the kitchen well equipped for you, although I'd definitely also recommend eating out - Toronto has some of the best food in the world! Please feel free to ask me for recos...
