If you want relaxation, Sleepy Creek Summerhouse is it! Open and airy with lots of natural light from the skylights and patio doors. Artistically tiled throughout for a whimsical yet comfortable feel. Overlooks a pond and 2 acres for play. Wraparound deck with a large screened in enclosure. Walking distance to the water. Offers ample parking so bring the boat! Sportsmen, vacationers, and all travelers welcome. Will sleep 6 comfortably. Well maintained with central heat/air.
Things to note:
-The upstairs is more of an open floor plan. The master bedroom is upstairs and does not have a bedroom door, but is open with a wall that separates it to the living room. Master bathroom has to be entered from the master bedroom.
-We have a full size futon that sleeps 2 in the living room. The master bedroom offers a comfy king size bed and the bedroom downstairs has a comfy king bed. There is also a sleeping couch (twin size) on the screened in deck if you enjoy the enclosed outdoors! :-)
-We love the kiddies, but do not have a crib. Also, this house has many steps, so please watch your kiddies at all times!
-We have games, books and movies at the house for your relaxation pleasure. We also have boogie boards and sand toys for your use at the beach. 2 televisions upstairs with Roku/Netflix provided.
-Basic amenities will be provided, such as towels (bath, not beach), soaps, shampoos, linens.
-NO SMOKING in or around the house/deck. Please dispose of your cigarette butts appropriately. NOT IN THE POND!
-NO DRUGS. You will be asked to leave and no refunds will be given.
-There are animals on this property. The quackers (ducks) enjoy being fed while Prissy and Amore, our resident kitties, loved to be petted. Our foot-long Koi will take any handout you have to give. We give you duck/koi food to share with them!
-The kitchen has a toaster oven which will cook most everything great! The smooth top stove (no oven) works great, as does the microwave and fridge (has all new filters for fresh ice and water!) Microwave, coffee pot, blender also provided.
-The whole house is wired for sound-literally. Enjoy your music on the deck, in the bedroom or living room, or in all three!
-Singles, couples, families welcome. Kid-friendly. Non-discriminatory.
-Sportsmen, fishermen and hunters always welcome as well! Ask us about guide referrals.
-Off the beaten path, but within an hour's drive to sightseeing, activities, and restaurants. *see Other Things to Note for distances to all areas*
You have use of the whole house, with exception of the garage. Feel free to roam the property surrounding the pond/house and walk to the floating dock. The dock is a small floating dock which has to be accessed via ladder. Keep in mind we are at the mercy of the tides so it may, on occasion, sit on a mud flat if the tide is especially low.
Bring your boat(s), toys and fishing gear. Plenty of room for parking all of them. We have a covered carport and area for washing salty toys.
Although we live on the property, we will not bother you. However, you may see us outside or feeding the animal crew-- don't be shy-- say hello!
You will be able to reach us at anytime via cell or text.
This is a wonderful place for an artist's or writer's retreat. Have a girls getaway, crafter's weekend or honeymoon. Sportsman friendly! Great overnight stay for your drive from/to the Cedar Island ferry!
