Ca’ dei carpani is placed in a quiet area of the Venetian mainland near the city of Mestre: a site of great significance both for the Carpenedo grove and for the sixteenth-, seventeenth- and eighteenth-century Venetian villas. Ca' dei carpani is 500 metres from the Venice-Carpenedo railway station and 1 kilometre from the bus stop of Carpenedo square (line 2): both by train and by bus 25 minutes are enough to reach the historic centre of Venice.
The lodging, which is next to the owners’ domicile, has a separate entrance, two floors and a small garden. The building measures 120 square metres, the garden 60. On the ground floor are located a large entrance hall, a minute kitchenette (with cooking top, sink, fridge and microwave), the dining hall, the living room and a bathroom; on the first floor another bathroom, two bedrooms (that is a double room and a triple) and a small study. Since the house consists of two floors, to provide security for the families with children, the access to the first floor (bedrooms) is equipped with a safety gate; furthermore, because Ca' dei carpani is sited in a green area of faunistic and floristic importance, all the windows have mosquito nets. Equipped with independent central heating, Wi-Fi and TV, the lodging is an opportunity to spend a holiday or a business trip in Venice and its environs.
According to the Regional Law of Veneto 11/2013 article 27b, Ca’ dei carpani is available for less than 30 days and the overnight stay implies the payment of the visitors’ tax .The overnight stay is subject to the payment of the tourist tax due to the City of Venice during the high season (from February to December) 1 euro per person/day, but only for the first 5 days of the stay; children between ten and twelve years old pay 0.50 euro. These rates are updated to 2017. The tax must be paid upon arrival and a receipt is given. Check-in from the early afternoon (15.00 to 21.00)
The aforementioned law provides that any personal service is forbidden: that is to say the sheets and towels given at the beginning of the stay are not changed, breakfast is not included, etc.
Marina and Pietro live just near the house, so if you need anything they are right there to assist you with all your needs.
Shopping can be done at various supermarkets sited near enough (in the highway area; i.e. 1 kilometre west of the house); and also groceries, other family-run shops, snack bars, cafes, restaurants and pastry shops can be found in Carpenedo city center (1 kilometre east).
