Big bedroom with all the basics you'll need plus a nice balcony for sunny days! Made with care, plants and art to make you feel at home. Tea, coffee and cereals available for breakfast. In a traditional German Altbau from 19th century, but fully renovated. And right the middle of dazzling Friedrichshain so basically top top location and well connected with tram, metro and sbahn if you want to move to other hoods. Markets, restaurants, bars and all you'll want to explore in walking distance.
Beautiful bedroom, about 25m with nice big window and a private balcony, very light and cozy, consists on a queen size bed (160) and a little single bed that is normally also used as a couch.
Its a shared apartment so you'll have access to the common areas (kitchen/living room and bathroom) to be shared with two other guest rooms. Your bedroom has a key and will be private for each booking, but according to the common areas they should be considered like a very very small hostel in which you have a very personalized and easy going stay :)
I think I could say I'm naturally inclined to helpful friendliness, before doing airbnb I was a very active couchsurfing member for over ten years, and I literally loved having travellers staying in my living room every second day! Unfortunately this time is not my house that I offer so I won't be presently in the apartment most of the time though I do come almost every day to check common areas are looking ok. I am though 24/7 available through messages and email and very happy to answer any question or recommendation that guests might need.
There's free parking at the end of the road, like 400m away from our front door! But no wheelchair access, it's a first floor with no elevator.
I have had a couple of guests (two out of more than 40 guests so far) who mentioned the tram running in the street as unexpected noise. Vast majority of guests don't notice it.
Breakfast items are always available in the fridge for mornings, and it basically consists of tea and coffee, cereals (muesli), milk, jams and butter. I don't buy any bread though, cause it ends up being thrown away most of the time... But theres a super market around the corner you can get a couple of things that you want to add to your breakfast or if you want to cook at home.
In the bathroom I also always keep some creams, shampoos, one use razors, toothpaste... Little emergency items you can help yourself with if you forgot to bring yours!
- Please be considerate to other guests and neighbours after 23,00hrs, any complaint from other guests might lead to the cancelation of your stay. If you want to have some drinks and enjoy with friends, sure Berlin is the right place, but explore it! I will be happy to recommend you a bunch of places to explore. The apartment should be a place to rest and enjoy in other ways.
-Be respectful to others no matter nationality, gender or sexual orientation, Berlin is a very free and open place and we expect everyone to act according to this. If you have any problems of the kind then we are just not the right place for you :)
-Please take care of common areas since its all about being able to enjoy the same living areas, so please clean up after you use the kitchen and leave things as you found them.
-Smoking will be allowed only in the balcony, were an ashtray and a little table and chairs are provided
-Pets might be allowed prior notice and depending only if the other guests in the house or following guests for the room are ok with it.
-There're a couple laundry shops close by or I would also be happy to do the laundry for you if I'm around, but it means I will only be able to bring it back at least in 24hrs.
