A Native Floridian, born and raised in Pensacola, Florida. I've lived in many states including Georgia, Alabama, Virginia and Texas but St. Augustine has always been my summer home throughout my teen years living with cousins and relatives. After my father died, my mother relocated here in 1971 and I've considered St. Augustine my second home since. I live in a historical area of the Coquina Quarry along Old Beach Road on Anastasia Island and my mom use to call her home her "little shack in the woods" as it's totally surrounded with live oaks, moss and cedar's. My rental home is located next door and is 2400 sq.ft., 2 story, 3 bed room (1 King, 2 Queen, and a Queen Sleeper in the living room). Gas Fireplace, 2 baths, laundry room and accommodates 8 very comfortably. My home is pet friendly and we have a fenced in yard for their safety and yours. There is plenty of parking inside the fence and out and enough room to accommodate a boat if you wish. You feel like your in a tree fort in my house as it has a wrap around deck facing West for sunsets and along the North to the back East which is screened in for your comfort. Another open deck for sunning and star gazing which opens into the master bedroom upstairs. You can hear the ocean early mornings and at nights! My neighborhood backs up to Anastasia State Recreational Park and I have membership passes and codes to the back gates for walking/bike riding and also driving through for your convenience. You will love your stay and feel my home as your second home I'm sure!
I'm a 2013 retiree from Human Resources in the best school district in the State of Florida, St. John's County School District. I'm an Artist and my passion is sea-glassing and I love combining my beach treasures with my paintings. I was blessed starting out to display and sell many of my paintings in O'Steen's Seafood Restaurant. I've sold several of my paintings in two of the local schools in St. Augustine and did well in Blacksburg, VA while living there. I was involved in a co-op Artist group and met many talented Artist. I took lessons from my mentor, Milton Lenore in Phoenix City, AL and he was most generous with his talent and teachings. I try to share some piece of my art with my visitors and I look forward to meeting you all!
