The best place to stay if u ever plan to stay in nikkou. Reachable by train and taxi even if you dont have a car
This is a lovely lodge. The rooms are spacious and the pictures are accurate. The owner was very quick responding to messages, even late into the night. The owner was very considerate and even gave us a ride to the train station the next day! (He happened to be staying local.) The rental was for the entire house and it would be a great place to stay with a couple of friends for a relaxing mountain retreat. The kotatsu (heated tea table with blanket) was a huge surprise. Between the kotatsu and the two oil heaters, the house was nice and toasty even in early January. The house is about a 10-15 minute walk from a Seven Eleven and a main highway. Taxi from Tobu-Nikko station was about 4000 yen. There are closer stations to the house. I recommend a rental car to explore Nikko.
This is an excellent place to stay if you'd like somewhere rural. It's such a beautiful and quiet area, and the house is perfectly situated to explore Nikko and the surrounding area. It's great if you have a car, but there are also bus links nearby. The house itself is really nice, and had a great time exploring the record collection! It is a bit cold in the winter but lots of heaters and blankets are provided which warms the house up in no time.
Lovely house in a nice, quiet area. It was super clean and tidy and had everything we needed. All of our favourite music was there on vinyl and cd for us to listen to! And guitars and microphones, it was so much fun! The owner was so easy to communicate with and always answered us quickly and the house wasn't hard to find at all. Awesome, would definitely recommend!
Our stay was quite enjoyable. There was a bit of a struggle getting to the house in the beginning as the directions on the website led to a golf course, which the actual house was behind. We were given a video with directions to the house, but it didn't show the start location. After driving around for 10 minutes we were able to match landmarks in the video to what we saw driving around. with the help from video that was sent to us. Before Ask Jeong- Hoon the address or directions to where the beginning of the video is located and also as the combination to the keys as that is blurry in the video. Overall the house is very cute and inviting. It has a kitchen and 2 tatami rooms with lots of mats and comforters. If you love music, it has an excellent CD and vinyl selection and 2 guitars ( acoustic and electric). The location was great with easy access to the tourist spots of Nikko and neighboring towns.
My family and I had stay Jeong-Hoon for 2 night!!. The house nice clean, and location is near by most of tourists attraction by car. The house have 7/11 store near by and quite location. Good for family gathering.
the house is about 20 mins from the city centre of nikko! it was easy to find because the host provides you with the exact Gogle maps direction and also he provides two videos on how to get there and how to open the door! very useful and we did not have any problem finding it! the inside of the house is very nice and very clean! we were 7 people and it was enough space for everyone! also the kitchen was very nice and there was everything we needed! we were sleeping in a typical japanese bedroom and there were so many blankets so even if it was cold out the beds were really warm and comfortable! there was also a kotatsu which was awesome and the CD in the music player had great music on it!! we really loved staying there! it was perfect for our weekend trip and we really wanna thank the host for everything :) we would definitely come back and recommend it to anybody who is going to nikko for a weekend trip!
