Base camp: a place where expeditions start and end; a place to call home away from home; a place where noble troupes gather.
Our home is located at the base of Mt Tabor in SE Portland, near amazing local coffee, food carts, and public transit on popular Division, Hawthorne, and Belmont streets.
You'll love the close proximity to excellent cycling routes, hiking and playgrounds on Tabor, and your friendly host Ryan.
Spacious and well-maintained home, owned by a bicycle mechanic happy to share his skills with you. Located on a wonderful cycling neighborhood greenway route.
Brand new, ultra luxurious Tuft & Needle mattress installed October 2017. Incredibly comfortable and supportive!
We also have a playful and well-behaved tuxedo cat, Xena. She's short-haired and well-groomed, so only causes issues for people with severe pet allergies.
You'll have a clean, private bedroom with comfy full-size bed, desk, and two chairs. Plenty of hangars provided in the large closet.
At the end of the hall sits a great full bath with an excellent shower. You may be sharing this bathroom with guests in our other listed room. Check my host profile for a link to our second, larger suite listing.
Please note, this listing does not include kitchen access -- but cups for water are provided, and our tap water is incredible!
As well as providing a great place to stay, we're happy to share the unique local wisdom of a born-and-raised Portlandian, and offer personal services to enhance your trip if interested: professional bicycle fitting, bike maintenance/repair, and guided cycling tours of Portland.
Laundry can be done on-site, between 8am - 5pm, with advance notice.
Our cat Xena, a short-haired and well-groomed tuxedo, likes to be friendly and share your space occasionally. She doesn't cause any issues for most guests, even those with minor pet allergies - don't hesitate to let us know if you'd prefer to keep her off your floor, and we'll do our best!
