This room has one full-sized bed (which is actually two full-sized futon mattresses, one on top of another, in a futon frame which stays in the "open" or "bed" position), and two bunk beds.
$10 fee to check in early or check out late or baggage storage before or after check-in hours. YOU MUST CONACT ME BEFORE YOU BOOK IF YOU WANT TO CHECK IN AFTER 11 PM. To allow for the cleaning of rooms, no check-in before 1 PM, and no check-out after 1 PM. This may be flexible depending on the timing of the arrival and departure of other guests.

It's a quiet neighborhood with a lot of graduate students and over 10 restaurants within 3 minutes walk (literally around the corner), and many more within a 5-10 minute walk, and dozens that deliver food if you want to order in.
Free breakfast if you stay 3 nights or more. If you only stay one or two nights, milk, juice, and tea are complimentary.
You will notice boxed red wine on the counter in the kitchen. If I am in the apartment, I will be more than happy to pour you a glass and get to know you over pleasant conversation. :-)
You will have access to all parts of the apartment: both bathrooms, the living room, and the kitchen (and all the utensils, dishes, pots, pans, etc.). If you use the kitchen, please clean everything you use when you are finished. You may simply rinse dishes and put them in the dishwasher, but please wash the pots and pans.
You can store anything you like in the refrigerator, and help yourself to the basics (milk, juice, salt, pepper, spices, tea).
I have a printer in the apartment that you are welcome to use.
If you need to do laundry, there is a card-operated laundry in the basement, and I will lend you a card. To wash and dry one load, the cost is $5, and I will give you laundry detergent/soap for free. If you book a 5-night stay, no charge for one load of laundry. :-)
There is a dry cleaner that also has laundry service (they will wash and fold your clothes for you) around the corner; the cost there is $1 per pound, with a minimum of $10. Not very cheap, but very convenient if you value your time.
I was born and raised in NYC, but I love meeting people from other countries. I have many travel stories to tell, and will happily listen to yours! Preferably while drinking wine. :-)
Also, I will be happy to give you any advice on NYC that you may need.
PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE SECTION. There are very important notes here.
Please remove your shoes when you enter the apartment.

No unregistered guests allowed in the apartment without my approval. Violation of this rule will result cancellation of the remainder of the reservation (you will be asked to leave) with no refunds and a $100 claim from the security deposit.
Please clean up in the kitchen once you are finished eating.
If you book for less than 3 days, there will be a $10 cleaning fee.
If you leave behind a mess, there will be an additional $20 cleaning fee.
Quiet time 11 PM - 8 AM, for the comfort of other guests.
I am an experienced host who used to use a different website to host (it starts with "couch" and ends with "surfing", where I am known as "the_juanderer"). I have many positive reviews there, and I am happy to share the profile with you so you can see them!
I have three available bedrooms in my 4-bedroom apartment (I live in one of them). I like to meet and socialize with people from all around the world. I hope you are one of them! I am also an experienced traveler (33 countries), and love to hear and tell travel stories.
También hablo español perfectamente bien y me gusta platicar en ese idioma. Si usted no habla inglés muy bien, sepa que le ayudaré en cualquier manera que puedo.
