The house is located in the second smallest village in Sardinia, Monteleone Rocca Doria. The village is a small oasis in nature: it develops on the top of an unspoiled fort, overlooking the lake Temo and in a privileged position with respect to naturalistic paths, archaeological attractions and itineraries not yet well-known to mass tourism. The location is also strategic for the sea, Alghero and Sassari, which are 30 min drive away.
The house features two floors, the rooms are very bright. In addition to our room, the accommodation includes two double bedrooms, a living room with fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, a shared bathroom and a roof terrace perfect for summer dinners.
The house is located in the historical center of the village, a small community of very few inhabitants, lovers of nature and animals. The walk around the fort is two minutes walk from the house and allows you to enjoy a unique view of the lake and surrounding hills, and meet along the way horses, sheep, dogs and cats.
Guests will be free to access all areas of the house.
Upon request we also cook dinner for guests with typical local products. Write us to receive a menù proposal! :)
We like to get in touch with the guests coming in to understand the kind of experience they want to do in Monteleone: we guarantee privacy and discretion to those who want to spend some solitary days, while we are happy to organise naturalistic, archaeological (and gastronomic!) excursions for guests who would like to adventure in Monteleone and in the province of Sassari, possibly knowing it in advance. We both work in the world of culture, we are passionate about pre-nuragic archeology and art, and Cosimo is studying to become a tourist guide on the territory.
We have two cats, Frida and Mario (respectively 9 and 12 years old), very educated and independent. They do not access the guests' room.
