Dee Dee and Eddie would be pleased to assist guests with ideas for activities, hiking and biking routes, scenic drives, and directions to their destinations.
Our continental breakfast is special and is close to what you'd get at a regular B&B. It includes fresh fruit in season (including blueberries, raspberries and blackberries from our gardens); granola and yogurt; Dee Dee's delicious homemade dill infused egg salad; goat cheese; fresh ground almond butter and jelly; bread and pastry from the Berkshire Mountain Bakery; fresh squeezed orange juice, and of course coffee and an assortment of teas.
Dee Dee and I love our life here in the Berkshires. I pinch myself thinking that I, a Bronx boy, would end up living in the county. Dee Dee grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, but spent a good deal of time at her grandparents' farm in the Ozarks. She fancies herself a country girl and couldn't be happier tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. She also hasn't met a horse she hasn't fallen in love with.
We're both serious music lovers. I play a number of stringed instruments including guitar, banjo, dobro and pedal steel guitar. Dee Dee plays piano and has a sweet voice. My voice? More sweat than sweet.
I am a consultant specializing in planning and project management. Dee Dee has a mental health therapy practice. We have two children, a boy and a girl, that are both in graduate school.
We love meeting people and learning about their lives. On the other hand, we understand that some guests lead uber-busy lives and by the time they arrive are "talked out." In such situations, we are happy to give our guests plenty of space.
