Have the top floor of our uniquely designed townhouse to yourself! You'll be in the heart of the Rosslyn & Courthouse neighborhoods in Arlington, VA. You and the rest of your party will share two fully-furnished bedrooms and one bathroom on the fourth floor of our home.
Both of us actively live on the third floor and are happy to help you find great places to visit in D.C. We're equally happy to give you 100% quiet and privacy.
We renovated the entire 4-floor house just 4 years ago. Here are a few details about your space:
- Hardwood flooring on 4th floor made from salvaged church pews.
- Kiwi guest room features custom wallpaper inspired by the ginkgo trees out front and custom reclaimed wood shelving unit that combines several types of wood: cherry, walnut, oak, pine.
- Map guest room features custom wallpaper inspired by 1944 map of District of Columbia.
- Marble countertop in the bathroom is reclaimed from the University of Pennsylvania Athletic Building
You will have the top floor to yourself. Use the living and kitchen space as you wish (but cast iron is for chefs only). There is one parking spot available if needed. If you bring two cars, we can fit one into our attached garage.
We both work in D.C. and are always an Airbnb message away if you need any help.
We love exchanging job and travel stories and pointing you in the right direction for restaurants, coffee, tourist attractions, and the like. We also understand that you might want to beeline it upstairs and enjoy your privacy.
We plan to be here to greet you when you arrive, show you how to use the keyless padlock, and give you the guest parking pass if you have a car. If you think your arrival time will change, please let us know!
We look forward to meeting you! We just have a couple "house rules":
-Please take your shoes off before you come upstairs. You can leave them anywhere downstairs.
-We sleep here, too, so quiet after midnight is expected (we'll reciprocate!)
-Please ask for a kitchen briefing before using the stove or pans, especially cast iron.
-This is a weird one, but please don't over-tighten the sink faucets in your bathroom (cool hardware can be finicky). They'll stop dripping a couple seconds after you loosely close them.
In general, this isn't a party house, but rather a place where professionals or tourists come to relax and enjoy Arlington & D.C. We hope you enjoy your stay in our home!
