Basement/studio that's just been remodeled so it's mostly new construction with a new bathroom, new tile flooring, fresh paint, full washer/dryer, granite counters and new appliances. The apartment is exactly one mile to the Pentagon City metro so also within walking distance to Pentagon City shopping/restaurants. It's also just up the street from shops, bars & restaurants on 23rd Street. Perfect location to explore Washington + surrounding area. Perfect for short stays and to visit DC.
The unit is 80% above ground so gets a ton of light and offers a verdant view. It's nicely appointed with everything you should need to cook in the kitchen, and high-quality towels and linens are provided. You'll enter thru an unfinished laundry, with a full-size washer and dryer and a place to store your bike. This is the perfect home-base for a short work stint, internship, fellowship or to have a place to call home while you're exploring the area.
Arlington Cemetary, Mount Vernon, the Capitol, Washington Monument and White House are all easily accessible.
The owners live upstairs and have lived in the Washington area for nearly 30 years. They are available to offer tips and recommendations upon request. Their daughter (me) manages the Airbnb listing and is available via text to offer up recommendations for things to see and do in the area.
A private entrance leads to the basement unit. Just outside the door, there's a small sitting area that's perfect for enjoying coffee and plotting out your day.
Help is always available. Just call or text for assistance or recommendations for dinner or things to do.
Absolutely no pets are allowed, and no loud parties. There is a strict 2-person limit in the unit.
If there's anything in particular that you need to help make your stay more enjoyable, don't hesitate to ask. Also, if you realize that you forgot something upon arrival, don't hesitate to ask as there's a good chance we have an extra to lend you.
- No loud parties. No drugs. No smoking. A senior couple lives upstairs.
- Check in/out times flexible. We try to accommodate all requests.
Currently splitting my time between DC and Chicago.
I spend a lot of time in airports, I love hotels and scoping out their pools, lobbies, and hoarding their toiletries. I enjoy hiking, SUP, skiing, tennis, biking and Netflix. I like to travel, shop, try new restaurants, and enjoy a good whiskey once in a while.
