Welcome to our weekend getaway! Get up in the morning, step out on the balcony, decide if the surf is good and 2 minutes later you are in the water! Our apartment in the historic Empire Building has a wrap-around balcony and stunning views of False Bay and Table Mountain.
The apartment is well-appointed with hardwood floors and tall ceilings, right on lively Surfer's Corner with many excellent restaurants, cafes and surf rental shops nearby. We hope you love your stay as much as we do!
A spacious open plan kitchen/living room/dining area opens up to a large outdoor balcony overlooking Surfer's Corner and Muizenberg Beach. Have a sundowner and snacks in the outdoor dining/seating area and wile the day away reading or sleeping in the hammock to top off the relaxing beach experience.
Enjoy the smell of freshly baked croissants wafting through the floors early in the morning (the apartment is right above Knead Bakery). The main bedroom also has direct access to the balcony and an en-suite bathroom.
The apartment is in the building adjacent to Tiger's Milk, a popular eatery/pub which can develop a buzz at night but normally quietens down after 10pm. We've provided earplugs in case you feel you want them.
Two underground parking bays are available on request. There's also coin-operated washer and dryer facilities in the building.
Within the apartment, you are welcome to use our surf and boogie boards!
Check-in and check-out times can be flexible depending on whether other guests are coming that day. Let me know in the message if you'd like a different time and I will let you know if we can accommodate you.
We live 45 minutes away and could stop by in case of an emergency, but we are always available over phone/text.
Despite being on the beach, it doesn't really get cold in the apartment even during the winter months.
Surfing and stand up paddling (SUP) are best from March to September when the winds are offshore. Kite surfing is best from October to February when the Southeaster is blowing.
