Peaks Island is a 20 minute ferry ride from Portland. Northcliffe is a traditional island cottage, (C. 1917) and commands magnificent views to the North, East and West over its rock-bound shore line. This property, on the northern shore of the Island, is a seven minute drive or a 2 mile walk from the ferry landing.
Northcliffe is perched on a small rise overlooking its waterfront lawn and expansive views up Casco Bay and several of its islands.
The cottage is not handicap accessible but is accessible from the parking area down a short dirt pathway for the nimble or a longer, more gradual grass pathway and stairway for the less sure-footed.
Your hosts, Mary and Dave, are generally available in a nearby cottage known as Pine Bay Lodge.
Guests are requested to bring their own bed linens and towels. If that is not convenient, there is a rental service available:
