The Villa needs serious attention & host needs to advise guests of issues! One bathroom was it of use (we were advised this 3 days before departure). On check in Ivan discovered the Hot tub was not working, this could not be fixed during our 10 night stay so our family were very disappointed about this, the host we're aware that the hot tub display was broken prior to our arrival but this was not fixed! 2 sun loungers were broken & in such poor condition we were told they were just for show & photographs, this is ridiculous. 2 other sun loungers had no cushions on, Ivan did bring these the following day. All the cushions outside on the dining area & sofas were dirty & faded, they are apparently being replaced which is no good to us. The blinds in 2 of the bedrooms were broken. The overall cleaning in the Villa was poor. The 3rd bedroom resembled a hostel bedroom. Has BBQ with no gas. Rubbish left on driveway. A front door that would not unlock (lock was replaced) Not forgetting the most horrendous building site right next door, the noise started at 730am & finished at 6pm 6 days a week. Cranes have over head continuously, diggers, lorries, shouting, banging & NO PRIVACY what so ever. The hosts claimed they were not aware of this which is a complete lie as we were informed they had been on site for at least 4 weeks prior. The straw that broke the camels back was the Electrics in the property, every time I put the oven on then the hob the electrics blew. Put the toast on, the electrics blew. Put the extractor fan on the electrics blew. Went out on evening just leaving the Air con on which is also very poor and not a big enough system for size of property , we returned to no electrics & again they had gone off at fuse box. I contacted host about this and they sent electrician who advised it was the electrics in Tenerife! Oh please we've been here for years & never had an issue before !! Whilst the host did offer a partial refund this is just not good enough, families save to go away and should not have to put up with these types of issues in a property which is being mis advertised. Still no mention of building works on the listing to let future guests no. I hope the owners take note of the reviews and spend time & money on this villa to bring it up to standard. It could be a wonderful property, for future reference it is around 40 minute walk to sea front or 10 minutes by car.
Dear Chris, it is really a pity that you did not mention at all that we have refunded you with 1.000Euros for the issues related to one bathroom closed due to water pipes leakage, and to the non working Jacuzzi and the momentary construction outside the property during your stay. Also it is a pity that you didn't mention about the threatening/blackmailing of a bad reviews if we would have not refunded you even further. That's why probably you forgot to mention about those 1.000Euros refunding. Also, the Villa was absolutely and perfectly cleaned. Our 4,6/5 stars average shows that our cleaning standard is absolutely super high. Are your comments results of the unsuccessful blackmailing? I guess yes. As far as the electricity concerned, Chris was used to leave all the appliances on and working at the same time the entire day: dish washer, washing machine , air conditioning, hair dryer, tv, lights, induction hob, oven, toaster, kettle... We explained him that there is of course a limit of general capacity of the house not possible to increase due to Tenerife's consumption's laws, and that all so many appliances together cannot work at the same time, (and there is no reason why they have to be used all together at the same time...) but he never really understood this seems unfortunately. Now: 1) The bathroom has been completely fixed after Chris departure on August 24th 2017 and back in perfect conditions; 2) The Jacuzzi's display has been imported from US (it was unavailable in Tenerife when Chris was there unfortunately) and the Jacuzzi perfectly fixed and working 3) The outdoor furnishing has been completely changed and renewed. This villa is sat directly between 2 building sites of which one is directly next to villa with a crane almost overhanging the villa at times and unavoidable dust throughout house and grounds as open space between . Noise unbearable poorly equipped throughout very unhygenic and unsafe poorly maintained in current state and environment the list is endless unrentable
Dear Lorraine thanks for your review. We offered Loraine before her arrival to the Villa the possibility to fix one of the bathrooms (which had a water leakage from the pipes) whether to fix it or to close it. Lorraine, at her arrival, decided to simply have it closed as (here precise words) "the other two working bathrooms were enough for them". The leakage from the pipes though created a stain on the underneath wall. Though the choice about not proceeding with the bathroom fixing was hers/theirs. About the working outside the Villa (belonging to the neighbor property), we weren't unaware of them (we only got to know that by the guests who checked in after you), otherwise we would have informed you Lorraine. I am sorry that this has caused unpleasant hours during your stay, though once again, not depending on our control. We have now a period of 3 weeks maintenance of the Villa after the summer peak season, where the bathroom has been completely fixed (today August 28th 2017 the works at the bathroom have been fully finished), the stained wall fixed/repainted, some of the outdoors loungers/furnitures replaced with new one and some other maintenance interventions to bring back the status of the Villa as "Perfect" as it as always been, as the Villa has been highly stressed during the summer time by not always perfectly polite guests. Also by the time next guests will enter the Villa, the workings outside the Villa will be also completely finished (those were not related to our control though as they belongs to other properties). La comunicación con Shawn es perfecta y la casa es muy bonita, lo mejor la piscina y el jaxuzzi. Sin embargo tuvimos algunos inconvenientes: - Nos cambiaron de casa porque habian tenido problemas en la que ibamos inicialmente (si es verdad que a una mejor y aceptamos el cambio) - Un día antes de llegar nos avisaron de que no funcionaban 2 de los 3 baños, fuimos 10 personas por lo que fue una complicación. Nos informaron amablemente y nos hicieron un buen descuento así que dentro de lo malo hemos quedado satisfechas. - Algunas de las camas eran hinchables, cosa que no sabiamos y una de ellas se desinchó en mitad de la noche (hablamos con ellos y al día siguiente nos dieron otra) En general bien a pesar de estos contratiempos. Hello Ana and thanks for your review! Please kindly let me precise a couple of points: 1) About the change of house. We upgraded you into a better and bigger Villa (double more expensive than the one you booked) at no extra charge for you. 2) Yes you were pretty unfortunate with 2 of the two bathrooms which had a pipes water leakage and we had to close them. We compensated you though with a refund of the price you pay because of that. One of the two bathrooms have now been completely fixed and the other one will be completely fixed by August 24th 2017. 3) About the air beds. Those have been used only for 3 days (basically during your entire stay) as the shop who had to deliver the new regular beds had a delay. Now there are only regular beds at the Villa.
