Towers in Mani were a symbol of power. Only the powerful families could build one. Kitriniaris family was a powerful family and became informaly captains of the mountainous villages of Androuvista. This tower, built in the 17th century, is the oldest and the best preserved of the 4 towers of the Kitriniaris family.
The bedrooms are located inside the tower, connected with a wooden staircase. As a genuine defensive tower of Mani there is no door to divide the bedrooms.
