My home is off the A59 between Harrogate and York, 10 minutes from the market town of Boroughbridge in the pretty village of Great Ouseburn.
The annexe is comfortable, cosy and well equipped, with everything you will need for a relaxing stay, be it a couple of days or longer. business or pleasure. Although it is linked to my home, It is self contained with its own front door, giving guests freedom and privacy.
I have 2 friendly labradors, Inca and Bailey.
The annexe benefits from its own entrance to the front of the property so guests can come and go as they please.
The accommodation is all on one level, no stairs and has central heating throughout.
The bedroom has a comfortable double bed with hypo allergenic bedding.
The ensuite has a walk in shower (no bath). A range of Caroline Henry individual toiletries are provided.
The sitting room has a tv with Freeview, a dvd player with a good selection of films. There is a good range of books, games and jigsaws and a CD player with a varied selection of CDs.
The kitchen is very well equipped with a full range of appliances. Everything you would need for a couple of days or self catering for a longer stay. There is also the usual kettle, toaster and microwave and a Dolce Gusto coffee machine for coffee lovers with a selection of pods. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk and a full range of breakfast goodies are provided for guests with some little added extras for those staying longer than a couple of nights.
There isn't a washing machine in the annexe but the washing machine in my kitchen is available on request.
The front and back gardens though fairly small, are colourful and well stocked and home to a variety of birds, hedgehogs and the occasional squirrel.
Guests are welcome to sit in the garden and may be joined by my family and my 2 dogs.
Parking is available at the front of the property, through the gate, on the gravelled area and there is plenty of space for bicycles.
The annexe is part of my family home and sometimes used for extended family and friends, please respect the furniture and contents as you would your own.
Who is it for?
Young and old. Tourists, business people. Cyclists and walkers.
Guests access the annexe by the front door to the side of the main house and can sit in the garden which is shared with my family.
My family and i lead the usual busy lives and are in and out throughout the week, particularly during the summer months through the cricket season! I have a busy gardening business, so i may not always be at home to greet guests on arrival. However the keys can be left in a safe place and i will say hello on my return.
