Hmm, I am very surprised at thier unflattering and incorrect responses.
First, regarding the room size... My photos clearly show the room size. They knew (or should have known) the room size before they booked. They chose to leave their large luggage on the floor instead of storing them in the ample closet space and shelves, giving them only a small space to walk.
Second, regarding kitchen cleanliness,,,
Before, during and after their stay the kitchen was clean and well ordered - at the end of each meal preparation all pots, plates and utensils were washed and cleaned, sink, stove and counter space cleaned and cleared. To their credit they did clean up after themselves. Trash bin clean and maintained, with rose scented liners. One night they arrived before I had a chance to wash a pot and a dish. They immediately began preparing food, and it would have been quite difficult to wash as they cooked. Perhaps this one event is the source of their comment? But they spoke not a word of English and required a considerable amount of my time and attention. See my following comments...
Neither Kang nor his wife could speak or understand a single word of intelligible English as they represented their profile. I attempted using (Hidden by Airbnb) Translate to communicate without success. Finally I had to enlist the help of a Chinese speaking neighbor to come down and attempt to communicate.. At no time did they mention displeasure with the room or the kitchen. What I did realize is they required considerable amounts of my time to find the tram, the bus, the train. and even a ride at 5am on their departure day to get to their pickup point. During their stay. I literally had to take Kang on a 15 minute walk to physically point out the tram station. I became a defacto tour guide, looking up spots for them to visit, writing down notes they could show to train agents, etc.
When they arrived late at night they came hungry with little food. I offered them the pick of my vegetables, meats, etc, which the wife had no trouble using, locating all the clean pots and utensils needed to cook.
They seemed very appreciative at the time, but obviously their inability to communicate with anyone who did not speak Chinese was the source of these issues.
In summary, the kitchen was always clean and well maintained, the room was as advertised, and I went above expectations to assist and drive them as I understood their needs. Obviously they did not appreciate my efforts, as displayed in their observations.
