The ranch house is located at the end of a long dirt driveway opposite the mailbox. The cattle gate may be closed but will be unlocked. Once you enter, you may keep the gate open since cattle no longer graze.
You will receive the door punch code soon before you arrive onsite. All guests are MUST pay State (9.5%) and County (4%) taxes before check-in (Unfortunately, AirBNB does not collect state taxes for TN rentals). Big East Fork Retreat is located close by at 5375 Big East Fork Road and taxes may be paid there, BUT staff is not always available. To avoid delay in checking in, PLEASE pay the taxes electronically before you arrive. PaayPal works great!
If you are having an EVENT (in which non-lodging guests use the property) you must send a message to receive details and pricing. Please receive documented permission and pay any related fees before you invite non-lodging guests on the premises. Trespassers will be treated as such.
Guests may use hiking trails and lake at Big East Fork Retreat only after signing liability waver at the adjacent Retreat (Day pass required).

The gorgeous Big East Fork Retreat with its six-acre lake, hiking trails, yoga house, and organic, locally sourced produce in located a short two miles upstream. Rent a bike and travel back and forth. Three miles to bicycle access to Natchez Trace Parkway. Six miles to Loveless Cafe.

A photo ID must be shown to the owner or designee prior to check-in. Check-in will be performed by the person making the reservation. If this person is not available or will arrive later, contact the owner prior to check-in to discuss alternate arrangements.
Only the number of guests registered may be on premises. Exceptions only with documented permission of owner (additional fee may be required for gatherings). Unregistered guests are trespassing and will be treated as such.
The guest is responsible for cleaning grills and ovens if they are made greasy/dirty. Excess trash or cleaning may result in a portion of your security deposit being with-held. Don’t place trash outside of bins making it accessible to hungry critters. Use of confetti, candles, and outside fire pits are strictly prohibited.
Your stay at the Lodging does not include access to nearby Big East Fork Retreat or permission to hike its private trail system. Contact Retreat for day passes and event space rentals.
We are the proud owners of Big East Fork Retreat, embedded in 1200 acres of pristine valley and ridge which creates the protected watershed at the head of Big East Fork Creek. It is located 30 minutes west of Nashville and 10 minutes north of Franklin.
We have been working on the retreat for several years and enjoy entertaining people passing through or staying for a week or two.
