Our home in NoPa is a classic San Francisco apartment in an ideal location.
Our home in NoPa is located in classic San Francisco—a walking distance to some of the most beautiful and historical places in the city. Multiple scenic walks and picturesque parks are right nearby: the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood, the Panhandle and Golden Gate Park, Alamo Square and the Painted Ladies, and Buena Vista Park. Our neighborhood also boasts some of the best restaurants and shopping in the city: NoPa, Nopalito, Bi-Rite, 4505 BBQ, The Mill Bakery, Rare Device, The Parish Trust, and many others—two coffee shops and a gourmet grocery store are even right across the street!
Our home features a sunny, plant-filled, private bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom has a cozy queen size bed, a desk and chair (recently replaced the pictured dresser), and an arm chair near the classic bay windows. Provided is an electric kettle, and setup for coffee or tea. Lastly, we'll be updating our photos soon, as we've replaced the bamboo shades in the bay window with white blackout curtains, and our plants have gotten a lot bigger!
A funky living room is just outside the bedroom, providing additional space to sit and read, use a laptop, etc. The private, full bathroom is slightly down the hall and includes a toilet, sink and shower.
This is an urban neighborhood and the bedroom is adjacent to the street and garage, so there can be some street noise. It’s not usually a problem, but does pick up a bit during the morning rush. We’ve slept in this bedroom comfortably for many years, but we think this is worth noting.
Our home is a 4-bedroom flat, shared between 3 people. Carl works from the home office as a designer and photographer. Claire founded a music school called Little Mission Studio; she works from the home office and spends a lot of time at the school. Shauna is a producer at Joyable.
You’ll be greeted at the door, and there is a short bit of steps. In addition to the bedroom and bathroom, guests are welcome to share our kitchen and dining room for light use. Street parking is pretty easy to find, although it is mostly limited to 2 hours between 8am and 6pm, Monday through Friday. Weekend parking is pretty easy though!
Because it is a shared apartment, you will likely see us around the house. We are very friendly and like to meet our guests, but we also can respect your desire to be left alone. We know San Francisco quite well, and are happy to share recommendations of all sorts.
Although it’s a private room, it is in our home, so we like to know who is staying with us. Please verify a piece of ID (like driver’s license or passport), and please post a photo of yourself as a profile pic.
I am a kind and open-minded young man, working as a independent graphic designer and photographer. I share my apartment with my incredible girlfriend Claire, and our great friend Shauna. We are all friendly and easy-going, and knowledgeable about what makes San Francisco such a great city.
We look forward to meeting friendly travelers from all over the world!
