Our family of four booked a very last minute 3 night break away over the May bank holiday weekend, and we were fortunate enough to bag a place at Gaynors! Our two dogs had to travel with us, and we hadn't been convinced that we would be able to find anywhere that was both dog friendly and clean, quiet and comfortable in a nice location - but thankfully discovered this little gem! The apartment is clean, comfortable and modern, with a very comfortable master bed & sofa bed, with a well equipped kitchen with brand new appliances and also a great bathroom. There are stunning views of one of the three beautiful lakes and surrounds, from both the living space, through the floor to ceiling glass frontage & patio doors, and the master bedroom window - with a lovely personal patio seating area at the front for relaxing morning, noon or night! We are very spoilt in that we live very close to the Snowdonia mountain range and are surrounded by many glorious Welsh beaches, so we are quite picky when it comes to holiday locations - but this really is a beautiful, peaceful, tucked away little nature haven - perfect for getaways! We also spent the weekend exploring Worcester Woods Country Park and Anne Hathaways Cottage in Stratford Upon Avon, before relaxing back at the apartment, watching the plethora of wildlife, from herons and baby coots to rabbits, ducks and geese! There are also horses close by on site, which are lovely to watch from the window or visit during a lakeside walk and fishing is available if desired. A local shop is nearby in the village, Tescos Express is about 10 mins by car in Droitwich, along with such as fish and chips shops, gastro pubs etc, and Waitrose is approx 15 mins away by car. If you want peace and quiet in a beautiful natural setting (with good fishing if that's your thing!) - with clean, comfortable and welcoming accommodation then head for Gaynors! *Do watch out for deer when driving in the surrounding area, we had a very close shave during the middle of the day with three dashing across the road in front of us!* Thank you again Gaynor for such a lovely, peaceful break - we'll definitely be returning!
