Robert's place is accurately described in his listing, it is a modern, roomy apartment with great air conditioning which we needed while we were there. The hot water in the shower is fantastic, the washing machine and dryer were very handy, the apartment is quiet as it is at the rear of the building. Plenty of towels, supplies and fully equipped kitchen. The bed is very big and comfortable and there is a lot of storage space. Robert was a great host, checking with us a few times during our stay and was readily contactable. He met us at the apartment and showed us how to work everything. The apartment is on the 4th floor, but the ground floor counts as the first floor in the USA. There are 72 steps to get to the apartment, great exercise but I did not have any difficulty and I am well over sixty years of age. Thanks Bob for a great stay.
Staying at Robert'a place was a delight, it's a beautiful, bright and clean spacious place right in the action of Fifth Avenue. That being said it's peaceful and a little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Nomad. We stayed for a week and it's without a doubt the best air bnb experience I've had. Morning coffee at La Pecora Bianca and drop-in classes at Soul Cycle made it feel like a home away from home. The bed was super comfortable with the softest sheets and great mattress. Being able to see the flat iron from the skylight was pretty amazing too. The washer dryer came in super handy as I've been away from home for two weeks already. I've stayed in NYC a few times and usually choose boutique hotels in Soho but this was so so much better! Really lucky that the timing worked out and we were able to stay for the week!
We enjoyed our stay in Robert's apartment and would stay there again. Much larger than typical New York apartments with a comfortable king bed, fully equipped kitchen and spacious living room and dining area just as pictured. The location is ideal with subway access less than a block away and many great restaurants within a few blocks. Robert was very accessible and proactive in making sure we had everything we needed.
Robert's place is immaculate. Actually you are lucky if you even get to stay there. His place is the cleanest place I've ever stayed in, and it's like a secluded quiet sanctuary in the midst of Madison Square Park, one of the busiest central locations in Manhattan. How is this possible? Because although the entrance its practically facing the park, it's in the back of the building facing the back of other buildings, and you literally cannot hear a thing. But then one would ask, "If it's not a front facing unit, then it must be dark?" Quite the contrary, because this mini palace of a duplex is the top floor with huge windows and two huge sun roof windows that make it filled with natural light. It was truly a home a way from home, and will always be my first pick in Manhattan from now on.
