Our completely remodeled duplex is in one of the fastest developing neighborhoods in Louisville, and a few blocks from Germantown, already a "foodie" favorite. We have 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms, ample living spaces, back yard & a 1 car garage.
Our duplex is a smoke free, pet free, 2 bedroom, 2 bath home away from home. We are centrally located so you can get to all the go-to places in Louisville in 3 to 15 minutes (see the neighborhood section for more details).
One bedroom has a queen size bed, the second has two twins and a third one could be added if you don't mind being a little crowded. The couch in the living room also pulls out into a full size bed (in case there are two couples and one of them would rather not split up into twin beds), prior notice is required if the sofa bed will be needed. Pack-n-Play, high chair, outlet guards and corner guards available upon request 2 days prior to check-in.
We prefer that groups be a maximum of 4, but we leave 6 as an option in case of children or other special circumstances.
We own the duplex and have to bottom floor rented out to a lovely young woman. Our unit takes up the second and third floors, so if you can't climb stairs this would not be the place for you. Washer & dryer are available for guests staying longer than a week. We have a one car garage and there is street parking available.
*please notice there is no TV*

We provide coffee, tea, creamer, and there may be some breakfast food available, which may include fruit, bread, PB, jelly, butter, and honey.
We reserve the right to enter the duplex in case of an emergency or if we need to pick up something. We will attempt to contact the guests first and, whenever possible, we will try to go in during a time that is convenient for the guests.
Help yourself to whatever breakfast foods you find in the fridge, as well as the oils, spices and condiments in the kitchen when you do your own cooking, but please leave the rest for us.

Loren & Ilse (in the photo) have been married for almost 25 years and have 2 wonderful children. They split their time between a farm in a rural county and a duplex in the city. At the farm they raise goats & they donate the meat to the Cathedral of the Assumption's free lunch program in Louisville (consider donating to them, they've been serving lunch to the needy every day nonstop since the great depression!). Loren works in the city & Ilse travels all over the country for her job as legal interpreter.
