We are 10 minutes from the airport and a 30 minute walk into Entebbe. The ferry to the Ssese Islands is 5 minutes away. We are on a local road and in a quiet secluded spot and mainly have local people living around us. Join us or our staff for an early morning dog walk or late afternoon, arriving back in time to watch the sun set over the Lake from our roof terrace. We are always glad to share a drink with our guests and enjoy a chat with a beer or gin and tonic or soda!
We have 2 dogs both of them very friendly and who would be delighted to accompany you on walks! Tippie is a Ugandan special and speaks Dutch (her original owners have a flower farm here) Maisie who is named after Alisons dog loving grandmother is a Husky and yes has Blue in her eyes. Living on the equator is a bit hot for her but she enjoys her daily showers and swims in the lake.
Alison and I pride ourselves on looking after you and our staff who are very friendly and competent always go out of their way to assist. However if Alison and I are not around such as in the UK for a holiday or away on our own safari then we are shut.
We are a retiredEnglish couple who have restructured our lives and enjoying living in Uganda after teaching in England for over thirty years. Alison enjoys the pace of life and wide variety of fresh produce in the local markets, as well as volunteering at schools directing teacher development and learning materials. She also voluntarily manages 3 orphan children supported by a wonderful group of Americans. One of the children Andrew is developing into a very talented runner, Olympics watch out.
