We loved everything!! The ocean was gorgeous, the dogs were fun and the car was essential! I have 2 boys, age 7&10, who had the best time floating & snorkeling in low tide and jumping off walls in high tide. Chandra was helpful with suggestions for food and activities. We are so glad she had a car there for us to use, as it was essential for groceries, a quick trip to the fish market, dinner outings and touring the eastern side of the island. This cottage is so private and secluded; plenty of quiet time. This was a fantastic place to stay for a laid back, worry free family vacation! We will be back for sure!!
Perfect casual beach bungalow. You will not believe the view until you see it yourself. The beach is rocky so bring water shoes. The location is remote so definitely use the recommended taxi driver, Hilton. A great place to unwind but not super close to the touristy parts of the island (restaurants/attractions). Thanks Chandra
Seaglass Cottage was exactly the escape my girlfriend and I were looking for. It's ideally situated with both privacy and convenience and the place has a lovely cottage feel with just the right amenities. The best part is of course the private beachfront and bedroom ocean view. You will not be disappointed. Chandra and Sara were wonderful hosts providing helpful info before arrival, arranging an airport pick-up, providing a vehicle for convenience and tips when requested but privacy the rest of the time. We will definitely return and wouldn't stay anywhere else.
How much you will love the Seaglass Cottage depends on what you are looking for during your tropical vacation. If you are looking to stay in a brand new all-inclusive resort where you can swim up to the full service bar, then this cottage is not for you. My husband and I had decided that we wanted more of a quiet, low key getaway. Seaglass Cottage was perfect and exceeded our expectations. The cottage is in a quiet residential area and away from any noise and disturbance. The hosts parents do live on the property behind the cottage. There are trees in between the houses and we could barely see their house and did not see or hear from them at all. We did have their number if we needed anything though. We were met at the airport by a taxi driver that the host had arranged to meet us. He even stopped at the grocery store on the way so we could purchase some food. The photos don't even come close to doing justice to the property and the view. We ended up spending a great deal of time at the cottage sitting by the water and eating meals on the porch. There is a charcoal grill provided by the host. The photos show the view from the master bedroom and it's even more gorgeous in person and a wonderful view to wake up to every morning. The property is secluded but was not too far of a drive from the beaches and downtown Nassau. You will definitely need a rental car if you plan on seeing sites around the island. Our host, Chandra, was wonderful. She was very friendly and pleasant. She met us at the property when we arrived and brought us a local fruit drink only available on the Island. She arranged to have the housekeeper and gardener come and cut down a fresh coconut so that we could try the coconut water and fresh coconut. We did have one minor issue while there, which was resolved within hours. The hot water heater stopped working. I texted Chandra and she sent the plumber over and this was fixed right away. We absolutely loved this cottage and would not hesitate to stay again if we could.
