My place is close to the countryside. I live in the South Cotswolds, so the Water Park is only 4 miles away. Lots of activities, pubs, walks etc... You’ll love my lovely old place as it has lots of character and is really well placed for exploring the local area.
My house is Victorian (flagstone floors/ single glazed windows) and it has a lot of character. So although I have a wood burner in the living room which you can use and central heating throughout, slippers are recommended. It is definitely not a stuffy modern house. I have a drawer of guest slippers :-)
The house is a work in progress - I am just about finished renovating it from its previous beige history, so it is not 100% perfect. Please note, I am renovating some outer sheds behind the property over the summer. This should not impact on anything to do with the parts used for Airbnb, however during the day on week days, there may be activity. Just want to ensure you know!
I am fine with children and small pets in the house - but be aware that the garden is not fenced in, the stairs are steep and the downstairs floors quite firm!
Help yourselves to teas and coffees.
You'll have access to the whole house - except the outer buildings as they have not been renovated yet.
I am going to be away (hence the house being on AirBnB) but will let you know someone local who can help if you need anything.
***Therapies and Treatments available at the house***
I have a friend who is trained therapist - she can come to the house to provide holistic therapies and reflexology if you are interested. Very reasonable prices - a nice opportunity to pamper yourself!
- No shoes upstairs please (new carpets).
- Please don't park in front of neighbour's gates
I love travelling but enjoy Airbnb more than staying in impersonal hotels. I am generally looking for a place where the owner is friendly, relaxed and may be about for the odd chat/cup of tea/ glass of wine. That said, I wont invade your personal space and I'll be careful with your belongings and home.
If I had one thing that I could not live without... I am not intentionally being English... but it would be tea.
Looking forward to meeting you.
