Spacious and secure one-bed guest suite in the heart of chic Abdoun. The guest suite is located in the top floor flat of a privately owned residence on a quiet street in the heart of Abdoun in West Amman. The suite has a queen-size bed and it's own washroom. Overall the flat is stylishly decorated with tons of natural light. The flat has lots of large communal sitting areas, including a lovely rooftop terrace equipped with a gas BBQ & outdoor dining space.
Our flat is the perfect spot for anyone traveling to Amman who wants to be within walking distance to some of the city's best restaurants, shops, and cafes. There's a fully equipped kitchen to try out your own Arabic cooking, we always have fresh hummus & zatar spices on hand. From our flat you can view the city while enjoying a refreshing cocktail or perhaps a glass of Amman's famous mint lemonade on our rooftop terrace.
The guest suite is stylishly decorated with global textiles including Bedouin rugs from Jordan and textiles from our travels in the Middle East and Africa. In the washroom you'll find our favorite Dead Sea soaps and lotions from a local favorite, Trinatae Soap House.
You will have full access to our kitchen, breakfast area, dining room, living room and sitting areas, and our rooftop terrace. Mi casa es su casa!
The guest suite is just steps from the flat's main entrance. We have an intercom/buzzer system, and guests will receive keys for the duration of their stay.
My husband & I are always on hand to answer any questions you might have about Amman and your travel needs in Jordan. We have explored Jordan well-beyond Amman's borders, plus we are seasoned Jordan-Israel land border "crossers," so if you need advice on traveling to and from Israel/Palestine and Jordan, we are happy to help.
We are a quiet professional couple and live at the far end of the flat. While I work out of a home office in the flat, I am often travelling around Jordan for work. Please contact me if you have any questions.
We have an Egyptian Tabby Cat, while he does not have access to the Guest Suite, he does roam freely throughout the house. Our cat is an "indoor cat" and is not allowed outside. We ask that guests remain mindful about closing the front door and the doors to the patio during their stay.
Hi there! My name is Charlotte and I am a nomad at heart. I grew up in Southern California: Newport Beach, Lake Arrowhead & Los Angeles. I attended grad school in London and developed a real case of Anglophilia. After travelling around Western Europe, North Africa and bits of Turkey, I found myself in Voi, Kenya. This is when my love affair with the African continent began. For the last 3 years I was based Washington, DC where I researched and wrote about U.S.-Africa Policy. For work I got to travel to some truly remarkable places including farm country in northern Zambia, St. John's festival in Cabo Verde off the coast of West Africa, & Tunisia during the country's first presidential election following the Arab Spring.
I am a foreign affairs junkie, love perfectly roasted coffee, and if I could only take one item with me on a deserted island it would be cheese. I love to camp and spend time outdoors, but I also know how to enjoy a good five star abode. I am sucker for period piece films and cannot get enough of Downton Abbey.
