Great price and unbeatable location, just a short walk from Central Park, two metro stops, more coffee shops and bakeries than you can count (don't miss Alice's Teacup!), restaurants, a laundromat, Pour liquor store, post office and even a grocery store (which is a New York City experience in itself - crowded with locals, fascinating stuff on the shelves, different languages being spoken all around you). The apartment is tiny for two people, but very clean, and serves its purpose if you are going to be out sightseeing all day anyway. Fridge for keeping your bottled water and wine cold, gas stove (which we didn't use), microwave. No automatic coffee maker, but you're in New York, so you can go out! Good water pressure in the shower, nice sized TV, surprisingly fast wi-fi speed, comfortable couch and bed. Quiet neighborhood and quiet neighbors. The apartment is up 33 narrow steps, so keep your dodgy knees and amount of luggage in mind. We really appreciated that hosts Guillaume and Élodie were responsive to our questions (using the (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) app) even though they were traveling overseas. If you are a bit of a diva like me, you might want to bring an inflatable travel pillow (total of two thin pillows on the bed) and also bring a microfiber travel towel that you can wash and dry easily, to have a fresh clean one every day. Total of two bath towels were provided, which is probably the norm, but after three days I longed for a fresh one. This was our first time ever in New York City, and we felt very safe and secure staying here.
