Secluded, well-appointed lodging on the edge of primeval Cook Forest State Park, offering lovely views and excellent options for outdoor adventuring. Lovely new kitchen!
You've got the whole cabin, the yard, forest, and creek! Plenty of space for cookouts, stargazing, & tent camping as well. There is an outdoor fire ring and grill.
I live nearby and, in case of catastrophe, can get to the cabin in a snap via an excellent secret jeep trail.
The kitchen features a side-by-side fridge, and there's a four-burner gas range and oven, a toaster, a microwave, and drip coffee maker. Or use the outdoor charcoal grill, or roast s'mores over the fire ring.
Towels, linens, and a dvd player are provided. There's no over-air or cable signal for the television, and no telephone service [i.e., no land line]. Cell phone reception along the river is incredibly rare, but higher spots (e.g. Seneca Point) often work.
Price includes the daily $9.90 Pennsylvania tax + $4.95 Forest County hotel tax.
